Scott Vallely, a New Canaan resident, will offer insights to his life as a serial entrepreneur who has started, built and sold businesses over the years. He will focus on the challenges faced in the various endeavors as well as the economic environment at the time. More recently, he has left the world of paper sales having sold his last business and is pursuing his NEXT big idea, transiting his avocation of brewing beer into a Connecticut based craft beer company. He'll offer insights to the challenges of starting up COBC and what the operation looks like today... eighteen months after filing for LCC and 8 weeks after brewing the first batch. Charter Oak Brewing Company is now an official craft beer competitor offering tastings on a weekly basis in taverns, pubs and restaurants to spark sales of its first entry "1687 Brown Ale" now available in most package stores. Bio:

Scott Vallely's career includes over thirty years as an operating executive in the paper, distribution, and e-commerce industries. After selling his last enterprise, Paper.com LLC, he decided to exit the paper market for one that is more dynamic (and fun!). He is now focused on his most recent venture, the Charter Oak Brewing Company.

His role at Charter Oak Brewing Company is focused on creating brews, developing markets, and selling beer. He will manage the operations and provide overall direction and strategy.

This microbrewery will market four flagships, handcrafted brands and also four seasonal more complex, robust, and higher alcohol brands. Vallely has been a home brewer for nearly 30 years and has always had a passion and commitment to brewing only the finest beer and strives to make our beers visible and available to all beer drinkers.
